God has given each of us certain spiritual gifts. 1 Corinthians 12:8-11 list these different gifts as Wisdom, Knowledge, Faith, Healings, Miracles, Prophecy, Discerning of Spirits, Tongues, & Interpretation of tongues. It is our responsibility as His children to faithfully respond to the work that he has called us to do (Hebrews 13:21), and that our ultimate purpose here on earth is to further His Kingdom, using every opportunity to use our gift and spread the love and show people the joy that can only come from Christ His Son.
Our ability to bless others with the gifts that God has given us is not contingent upon age, physical ability, language barriers, etc. That is the beauty of His perfect plan— there is ALWAYS, ALWAYS, ALWAYS a way to be a blessing to others by “shining your light” and giving of your resources— whether in the form of physical labor, money, prayer, etc. In the Father’s eyes, your contribution is not seen as “big” or “small,” but a genuine, heartfelt sacrifice for His Family. If you have trouble sincerely believing this, we invite you to read the scripture passage provided at the end of this page.
If you would like to become involved in supporting Healing Leaves Ministries, we ask that you bring this desire to the Father through prayer, allowing Him to reveal to you how you can support us according to His perfect will. My first request for support would be with Prayer. If you sign up for updates I will keep you updated on current prayer requests! Financial donations will be used to help purchase needed supplies, such as medications. Donating your time by joining us on one of our trips, bringing your individual skillset with you. Whatever it is, allow to guide you in this important decision.

If you are interested donating, there are multiple options
Currently I am focusing on bringing much needed anesthetic medication with me. Some of these medications can be purchased in Honduras but the cost is considerably cheaper to purchase in the US. Others are unavailable for purchase. I will include a list of current medications and supplies I would love to purchase and the costs. If you would like to help cover any of these costs your gift would be used to purchase.
For smaller non tax deductable gifts you can donate directly to me via the donation tab on the donate page. Your money comes directly to me and I will purchase the products you desire.
If you are interested in a larger tax deductible donation please contact me! I can arrange for your donation to be made to the organization I am working with to have them purchase the supplies.
Supplies I would love to purchase and bring with me in January and approximate costs!
Isoflurane: $54 per bottle: This is our staple ingredient…the Flour in our cookie recipe! We use it everyday and all day for any patient that undergoes a general anesthetic. We could use as many bottles as I can physically bring with me!
Sevoflurane $128/bottleSpinal Needles: $177/box of 50: Same as Isoflurane except this is more expensive because it has a very sweet aroma and is not irritating to breath. Thus we use it for every child to drift them off to sleep. So also our “flour” for our pediatric patients.
Dexmedetomidine: $100/box of 25: This medication really is the Chocolate chips of our cookies! Sure you could bake without it but your cookies would be quite bland! It brings such flavor to our anesthetics.
Various Nerve Block Needles: $10-12 per needle. When you bake you need equipment. You cant very well put your cookies in the oven without 1st placing them on a pan! We need equipment to safely deliver our anesthetic and get our cookies into and out of the oven!
Suction Machine: $242 per machine (we could use 3machines): We currently have suction machines that are very large(they sit on the top of our anesthesia machine and take up a lot of usable space) they are also very noisy. These new machines are much more streamlined and would be a treat for us to have!
Sugammadex: $333.00/box of 10: This medication we use to reverse our muscle relaxant. It works amazingly fast and can also be used in an emergent situation. This is a newer anesthetic that replaces our reversal with Neostigmine. It has been very expensive at a cost of about $1600/box of 10!!!!(yes its that good). However it has now gone generic and we can purchase this generic version at a much reduced price! We would love to stock up our supply of this medication.
